Activity Risk Assessments
To ensure the safety and security of all students, as well as any other adults accompanying you and your student(s) on an excursion, it is necessary to undertake an Activity Risk Assessment before each excursion takes place.
Following surveys of host tutors, we have put together generic risk assessments for the excursions and activities which you are most likely to do.
Once you and your student(s) have decided which excursions you will do with them, show the relevant risk assessment(s) to the student.
When completing your Weekly Lesson Sheet(s) for each course, please note the numbers of the generic risk assessments used at the bottom of the second page in the relevant section.
Each generic risk assessment’s number can be found at the top of the form.
The generic risk assessments do not cover all potential activities. If you do an activity with a student which isn’t covered by a generic assessment, please use the template provided to create your own, and then send a copy to us with your WLS at the end of the course.
If you have any questions about any of the information above, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
