Why do I need travel insurance?

What happens at the end of my course?

All Exam Preparation courses include one hour free online video English classes in case you need last minute guidance and support before your exam. Let us support you all the way to the examination room.
At the end of each course, host tutors prepare an End of Course Report which tells students what they have studied, how much they have improved, and what they need to do to continue improving their English. Students also receive a certificate of attendance via email shortly after their course finishes.

How can I check my English level?

How do you select your homestay tutors?

We only work with the best tutors. We personally interview them and inspect their accommodation, before they join our team. Our highly experienced exam preparation Host Tutors know just what is required to help you achieve a great score in your exam of choice. They will have a recognised qualification to teach English as a foreign language and in most cases a honours degree and experience in both teaching and hosting. Our teachers are dedicated and professional. They are chosen not only for their experience and qualifications but for their warmth and hospitality and the comfort of their homes. We believe there are four basic ingredients which make a successful Host Tutor: 1. An enthusiasm for teaching English 2. A professional qualification in teaching (CELTA, Cert. TESOL or equivalent. PGCE MFL, English or Primary with QTS. Equivalent teaching qualification in your country) 3. An empathetic personality 4. A comfortable and hospitable home

Students with special needs

Our courses are designed around each student’s needs and requirements – academic, social and personal. This makes us ideal for a student with special requirements or disabilities. We have a number of host tutors with a wealth of experience and training in teaching students with disabilities, including learning, visual and auditory. For students that are not fully independent, we are happy to arrange for an accompanying carer to join them on their programme for a special discounted rate. Many carers choose to take an English course during their stay, too, in which case our standard 2:1 fees apply. Wheelchair Access We have a number of teachers in the UK and Ireland that have wheelchair-accessible homes For us to best serve the student and offer a unique learning and cultural experience it is fundamental that we receive full details of the student’s learning and motor skills during the enquiry process.
