We are a network of experienced language teachers who combine teaching with hosting students in their own homes. We currently offer 12 languages in 23 countries and territories, with more options being added all the time.
Our teachers benefit from a comprehensive programme of continuing professional development through online workshops, seminars, regional gatherings and meetings. No matter what stage you are at in your teaching career, whether you are newly qualified or very experienced, we listen to your contributions and are proud to cultivate your talent.

What does it take to work with us?
Four basic ingredients make a great homestay teacher:
- A sympathetic personality.
- Enthusiasm for teaching languages and international exchanges.
- A comfortable and welcoming house with a guest room.
- A professional qualification or relevant experience delivering language tuition.
Our students
Our students come from all over the world and stay for between one and four weeks in the vast majority of cases. They are aged 10+ and can have a language level from Beginner (A0) to Proficient (C2).
Students choose from between 10 and 30 hours of lessons per week, and have course content focussed either on Travel and Pleasure or Specialised and Professional requirements. This includes studying for language exams or for university entry, as well as work-based requirements.
What is expected of you
As a teacher and host family, you offer the student:
- Their own bedroom, with a place for private study.
- Personalised tuition for the requested number of hours per week.
- 3 meals a day.
- Local excursions (between two and four per week depending on the programme).
- An introduction to your country's culture.
Here’s how it works
We find a student who suits you, based on your priorities and preferences. We only propose one teacher at a time to our teachers, so that you are not in competition with any other teacher. When we send you a reservation proposal, it is because you are, in our opinion, the best teacher for this student.
Simple and direct administration
Our online portal allows you to update your calendar, edit your profile and photos, review your bookings, track your payments and more.
Online courses
After their departure, the student has the option to continue their online classes with you, if you both wish.
Remuneration
Course payments are made by bank transfer on a weekly basis, every Monday, after the week is completed and after we have received any necessary course documentation.
You will receive financial compensation for a transfer from the station or airport upon the arrival or departure of the student. If you have not received any confirmation from us regarding the transfer, no transfer service is required.
If a student has booked the "prestige" option and you have a private bathroom, you will receive an additional fee. You will not be paid for this option if the student has not booked it. You can however decide to welcome only students who have booked this option.

If you think that teaching your language by welcoming a student into your home is suitable for your lifestyle and situation, please fill complete our online registration form and send us all the necessary documents.
We will then organise a visit (either in person or virtually) of your home and your family to get to know each other. We will then finalise your registration, and begin sending you students.
