Parent and Child
Course Overview

If the whole family wants to study together, the Parent and Child course offers a flexible solution depending on each student's priorities and requirements. Families are either placed with two-teacher host tutor families, or we arrange a visiting tutor to deliver extra lessons.

Who is it for?

Ideal for a parent of a child under 10 who wants to accompany their son or daughter on a homestay language course. Sometimes the parent shares the lessons, or even takes some one-to-one classes separately.

Course Content

InTuition designs the course around the needs of the child, so it depends on the age plus their level of English. The lessons are well focussed and structured but delivered in an informal and relaxed way, so the child learns in a natural environment. Learning in a home not a classroom means they learn the language in context and get to practise it immediately.

It was the best experience I've had in my life. I lived like a true Englishwoman for three weeks and I had a lot of fun with my host family. Ken and Mary are lovely people; they put me at ease right from the start and made me feel at home. Mary is really nice and good as a teacher. Her lessons were always different and interesting. Ken is really kind, helpful and a great cook. I also met the various family members, who were really friendly. I visited lots of places and I learned a lot of english. At the end, when we said goodbye, I was very sad to leave cos’ I couldn’t have had a better family. They remained in my heart. I hope to see them again soon.

Moira and her family were exceptional. Very hospitable and kind. Moira was an excellent and very initiative teacher. Moira is also a very good cook. The food was varied and very good. Her house is beautiful and very large. Close to York. Don't have any doubts about having a study experience with her.As regards the organisation, the opinion is extremely positive.
