Course Content

Course participants can expect the following areas to be covered in the course:

• Presentation about one’s own work, the language for simulated meetings
• Presenting figures and graphs and describing trends
• Comparing national economies, working practices and social conditions
• This course is also ideal for addressing broader topics needed when managers are speaking with their counterparts enabling practice on a range of topical issues such as:
• Current affairs
• Social, political and environmental issues, education and training
• Advertising and the media
• Technology and society
• Entertaining visitors and handling social situations like meeting and greeting restaurants and pubs, small talk

It was the best experience I've had in my life. I lived like a true Englishwoman for three weeks and I had a lot of fun with my host family. Ken and Mary are lovely people; they put me at ease right from the start and made me feel at home. Mary is really nice and good as a teacher. Her lessons were always different and interesting. Ken is really kind, helpful and a great cook. I also met the various family members, who were really friendly. I visited lots of places and I learned a lot of english. At the end, when we said goodbye, I was very sad to leave cos’ I couldn’t have had a better family. They remained in my heart. I hope to see them again soon.
